You Can’t Blend In When You Were Born To Stand Out
— "Wonder" movie

Isn’t it funny how we were born one-of-a-kind, but grow up replicas being influenced and molded by the culture around us?

Ever since we were kids, we wanted to be just like someone else. As teenagers, we dream to be in their shoes. In young adulthood, we aim to have their looks and their material possessions. Throughout our adult lives, we continued to strive towards that same path of looking good and having the goods. Everyone is trying to be like everyone else - we are trying to blend in.

Will we ever be who we were meant to be?

We are all originals - you are an original. What good it that if we become carbon copies? Replicas of everyone else? It’s like eating the same meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for days, weeks, and years. Why be the same when variety is an option?

We all have unique qualities that makes us individuals, and each individual is interwoven and dependent on one another, creating an intricate network synergistically adding significance within each others lives. Being a replica when you were meant to be an original dampens the fabric of life.

Be who you were meant to be, and make a mark with your time here on earth …
